One of the most anticipated tours of the heavy music calendar kicks off in February when Architects make their triumphant return to our shores in support of not one, but two new albums (For Those That Wish To Exist and the classic symptoms of a broken spirit) full of new material they haven't played for us all down under yet and today, the support acts have been announced which will certainly send chills up your spine!

Canadian melodic hardcore quintet Counterparts who released their own new record A Eulogy For Those Still Here last year will no doubt bring a heaviness to amp us all up before the 'Tects take to the stage, and local legends Thornhill, who dropped Heroine and scored an ARIA Nomination in the process will kick off festivities at all upcoming shows, beginning in RADelaide on Feb 17th, before stopping in Melb on Feb 18, Sydney on Feb 19th and then wrapping up in Brisbane at Riverstage on Feb 21st.

These shows mark Architects' biggest venues to date in Australia since their debut down under in 2009 when they supported Parkway Drive and August Burns Red.

Tickets are flying and you do not want to miss one of the biggest bands in the heavy/alternative scene with an impressive lineup of guests guaranteed to get a few thousand additional steps on your Fitbit next month. LFG!

*Note: Brisbane's show will now be held at the Fortitude Music Hall on Wednesday, Feb 22nd.
